Okticket closes €1.8M round led by Angels and Zamit Capital to digitize travel expenses

- January 12, 2023

Okticket, a Gijón-based fintech specializing in the digitalization of professional travel expenses, has raised more than €1.8 million led by Angels, Juan Roig’s investment company, and Zamit Capital, fund managed by GVC Gaesco. Also participated in the financing round Encomenda (a fund that led the previous round of Okticket), and Asterius.

“We are very satisfied with the investment round, especially because of the investors that joined us in it. We will use the resources acquired to reinforce our internationalization strategy, incorporate sales force, and continue improving the product. The quality of the product and customer service is our hallmark and we want to keep it that way in the future. Our forecast is to double sales again in 2023”, says Iván Rodríguez, CEO of Okticket.

Okticket was created in October 2017 to help companies leave behind the problem of professional travel expense notes through a powerful, agile and simple tool that allows them to optimize and cover the whole process of expense note management, from the means of payment and digitization to the validation, control and integration processes with the company’s ERP.

“Okticket, led by Iván Rodríguez, has proven to be very focused on improving the user experience, investing in technology that improves the quality and speed of digitization, thus exponentially increasing customer satisfaction,” says Pepe Peris, CEO of Angels.

Paco Illueca, Investment Director of the Venture Capital Area of GVC Gaesco Valores, and Jesús Muela, Deputy Managing Director of GVC Gaesco Valores, affirm that: “The investment in Okticket represents a new step by Zamit in its commitment to companies with strong growth and internationalization potential. The case of Okticket is interesting because it offers its clients an optimal digital solution to the management of professional travel expenses that has generated growing interest from the market”.

The company has experienced sustained growth, even during the pandemic, capturing market share based on a capital efficiency strategy. In 2022, it doubled the volume of customers and underwriting contracts. It currently has more than 100,000 users and more than 500 customers in Spain, Portugal, and France, ranging from SMEs to large multinational companies, including Manpower, Orange, Central Lechera Asturiana, and the multinational chemical company BASF.
