The Spanish startup Biorce was chosen as the winner of the 4YFN Awards 2026, held this week as part of MWC26 Barcelona, in recognition of its innovations in the health tech industry. In recent years, this competition has become one of the largest platforms for recognizing the best global startups in categories such as Climate Tech, Digital Horizons, Fintech, Health Tech, and Mobile Frontiers.
The awards provide global recognition, international visibility, and networking opportunities with investors and leaders. They accelerate the growth of startups by driving momentum and development in a prestigious innovation community.
This year, the five finalist startups were selected from the previous top 20, in which five startups from each category competed to qualify for the final, where only one company from each area would remain. The five finalists were: Doctor Scrap (China, Climate Tech), NeuralTrust (Spain, Digital Horizons), Dost (Spain, Fintech), Biorce (Spain, Health Tech), and ConnectHear (Pakistan, Mobile Frontiers).
At the final event, the startups gave four-minute pitches to an expert jury that included Vikram Taneja, Head of AT&T Ventures; Cristina Fonseca, General Partner at Indico Capital; Itxaso del Palacio, General Partner at Notion Capital; Raymond Liao, VP & MD Ventures at Samsung Next; and Karine Peters, VC Investor at T Capital.
Biorce, the jury’s choice

Biorce, founded in Barcelona in 2024, automates clinical trial operations with AI agents that optimize planning and execution for research teams, anticipating regulatory risks with the FDA and EMA, and eliminating unnecessary costs. Its Aika platform reduces preparation time by up to 50% and costs by more than 40%, improving study design, feasibility, patient recruitment, and regulatory compliance. It recently raised 44€ million to expand its technology in the pharmaceutical industry.
During the competition, it accumulated prizes as a Top 20 finalist (1,500€ in cash, exhibition pod and passes to 4YFN 2026, speaking opportunity, inclusion in the startup catalog, networking invitations), then as a finalist it added 2,500€, a pod and passes to 4YFN 2026, a GSMA Foundry package, and exclusive networking with the GSMA Strategy Group. And as the overall winner, it received 20,000€ courtesy of GSMA Foundry, a stand and passes to 4YFN 2027, a GSMA Foundry package, an interview on Mobile World Live, and promotional visibility.
Following this recognition, the Spanish company is strengthening its leadership in healthtech in a global market worth more than USD $900 billion annually, where every change generates weeks of delays, hundreds of thousands of extra euros, and billions in inefficiencies that slow down patient access to innovative therapies.
